Let's Get Down To Business!
One of my best friends suggested I download this app called "Couch to 5K". It is a free app that helps you condition to begin running. It has each day planned for you, and a very helpful virtual trainer who will tell you when to walk/run. At first, I really liked her...but by the end of the run, I really hate her (in a good way!)
Yesterday was Week 1, Day 1. Here is how the workout went :
1. Brisk 5 minute walk (warm up)
2. Alternating 60 seconds of running, with 90 seconds of walking (Total : 20 minutes)
3. Brisk 5 minute walk (cool down)
I really didn't think that I could do it...I haven't ran that much since probably middle school, and that is VERY hard for me to admit. I really wanted to buckle down, and get something done...Every time I was gasping for air, I told myself "FOCUS". Every time my legs were burning so bad, that I just wanted to sit down, I told myself "PUSH THROUGH IT". I let myself get out of shape, so I need to stay accountable to get myself back into shape!! :)
