Surprise Yourself
When I first started this journey in weight loss, I was doubtful I would succeed. I honestly had the thought process, and mindset, that I was overweight and those were the cards I was dealt, and that was it. I would just have to learn to deal with it, and everything would end up the way that it was going to end up.
I Was Wrong
The more work that I put into myself, into the gym, into counting calories...the more results I see. Example? I've lost 3.5 pounds in the last two weeks. I don't work out vigorously, as I'm just starting out...but really staying under my calorie goal is helping! That alone is making a difference.
This morning, my sister Crystal was telling me about how she could really notice that I was losing weight, and someone on the floor asked how many pounds I'm down total so far, and I said 23.5, and I got a standing ovation. :) There's no better feeling that knowing that you're doing something for yourself, and that you have TONS of support behind you.
I met with a dietitian yesterday and I feel like I'm only going to get better. We talked a lot about food choices, and how many carbs you should be having in a day. Did you know that fruits are considered to be a carb? I didn't! It's really great to have this sort of education...because it makes me make better choices!
On a side note, I just feel good today. I feel hopeful, I feel happy, and I feel like I can DO this! :)
You can do this! It's not going to be easy, but you've already rocked it thus far, there is only one way to go from here, and that's up!!! You're awesome!
